Company History
Hantek Technology was founded in 2001 by a group of like-minded professionals with academic backgrounds in transportation.
- Mr. Tsung-Yi Lee, our General Manager, holds a master’s degree from the Graduate Institute of Transportation Management at Tamkang University.
- Ms. Chien-Ju Chou, our Deputy General Manager, earned her master’s degree in transportation from the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University.
The company was originally established under the name Hantek Media Technology Co., Ltd., with a team of just five employees. In the early years, we focused on government projects related to intelligent transportation systems (ITS), including multimedia bus information systems, real-time bus tracking systems, and GPS-based taxi dispatch platforms. Even then, we began incorporating GPS (Global Positioning System) and GIS (Geographic Information System) technologies into fleet operation management—an innovative application at the time.
Recognizing the high cost and resource demands of government tenders, along with growing competition from large enterprises, Hantek shifted direction in 2009.
We streamlined and standardized our technical expertise from past projects to develop a universal cloud-based fleet management platform tailored for private-sector use.
After more than a decade of refinement, the platform now supports over 10,000 vehicles, achieving a market share of over 15%, ranking among the top three providers in the industry.
